Tiptoeing Into Renewables
A fledging Colorado company called ZeaChem Inc. recently secured financing and is set to break ground on a biorefinery that will produce a range of fuels and biochemicals using trees and waste from a commercial forest.
ZeaChem snared a well-known name in the energy world as an initial investor: San Antonio-based Valero Energy Corp., the nation's largest refiner.
